By the end of the seminar participants will be acquainted with the latest findings in EFL/ESL motivation research and have critically reflected upon their relevance for English language teaching. Additionally they will have gained practical experience in how to do empirical research in this field.

In this seminar we are going to look at various aspects having an impact on the motivation of English as a foreign language learners as well as teachers with an additional focus on digital classrooms. Based on relevant research findings as well as our own ones, we will critically analyse how theory and practice may be intertwined.

Additional asynchronous sessions will be fixed with the course participants.
