In-depth understanding of how research evidence can guide English language teaching.

Diversity is a reality in most English as a foreign language classrooms in Berlin and elsewhere as teachers and students come to the classroom with increasingy diverse cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds. The aim of this course is to raise participants’ awareness of diversity in today’s classrooms by looking at a broad variety of diversity issues, including, among many others, lifestyle choices, gender, sexual orientation, social and cultural background, and learning difficulties. Closely related to this, the course focuses on analysing and adapting  teaching and learning materials for English as a foreign language.

Diese LV ist dem Pflichtmodul 1 („Fachdidaktik“) des Masterstudiums Lehramt Sekundarstufe (Allgemeinbildung) Unterrichtsfach Englisch zugeordnet.
