Durch den Einsatz von digitalen Entwurfsmethoden und Analysentools ist das Ziel eine reflektierte Auseinandersetzung mit Optimierungsprozessen in Form von genetischen Algorithmen. Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden Anhand digitale Analyse- und Entwurfstools neue Designstrategien erarbeitet die auch weiterführend für andere Aufgabenstellungen herangezogen werden können. Es geht im Besonderen um die Aneignung anderer Denkmuster und Herangehensweisen in Entwurfsprozessen.

New technologies are developing ever-faster and the interface between physical and

vir¬tual is constantly blurring through phones, tablets and wearable devices that have become an integrated part of our daily lives.

This seminar seeks to push the boundaries and challenge the use of Augmented and Vir¬tual Reality in Architecture. On a theoretical and design level it should spark critical dis¬cussions about the use of new technologies and speculate on how will they influence our environment as well as the way we design and conceive built space. How can architecture and design thrive in a mixed reality context? Can ornament, surface articulation, patterns and colors work as a feedback loop between architecture and machine? The aim is to integrate machine vision, AR and VR in the process of conceptual design, rather than only using them as visualization tools.

Students will learn how to use Unity in order to create apps that allow them to take their designs out of the computer and into the real-mixed world. A curatorial walk through an "augmented" city and a potential collaboration with Landesmuseum are foreseen.

Anmeldevoraussetzung/en (gilt für das Modul B17 Pflichtmodul: Vertiefung Bachelorarbeit II): positiv beurteilte Module B09 "Baukunst", B10 "Geschichte und Theorie", B20 "Gebäudelehre und Wohnbau", B21 "Konstruktion und Gestaltung", B22 "Raumgestaltung", B23 "Städtebau"
