976402 VU Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
Wintersemester 2019/2020 | Stand: 02.10.2019 | LV auf Merkliste setzenThe subject of this course is Artificial Intellgence and its influence in Economics. Artificial Intelligence is about making intelligent machines, i.e. machines being able to learn, to understand what they see, to communicate and interact socially. Students will acquire the knowledge on what is considered the future 4th industrial revolution, that of producing machines and robots that are able to interact, think and learn.
When programmable computers were first conceived, people wondered whether such machines might become intelligent. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a thriving field with many practical applications and active research topics, these include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, Natural language processing among others.
The course covers theoretical material that is complemented by discussions and basic programming projects
