Die Studierenden sind in der Lage, einfache Entwurfs- und Planungsaufgaben zu bewältigen. Sie sind fähig, eine Entwurfsaufgabe zu analysieren, ein architektonisches Programm zu formulieren, ein räumliches Konzept zu erstellen und es in eine architektonische Gestaltung von hohem ästhetischem Niveau zu übersetzen.

Vermittlung der unterschiedlichen Phasen eines Entwurfsprozesses anhand der angeleiteten Bearbeitung architektonischer Aufgabenstellungen, Schulung der persönlichen kreativen Fähigkeit; Vermittlung von Entwerfen als komplexen Entscheidungsprozess und Integration entwurfsrelevanter Einflussfaktoren.

SATURATION: ADVENTURES IN THE LAND OF PLENTY: PARLIAMENT

If there is anything that architects do really well, it is the joining.
In an environment seemingly falling into pieces, this might actually be useful.
There is certainly a lot to learn about the world from the way different things can come together. Especially when we are not entirely sure what is a thing and what is a difference.

Over the last decade architects are wrestling with one of the two ideas: how to make a lot out of almost nothing by means of repetition,
or how to make sense out of not fitting multiples.

The studio is going to investigate the second trajectory and arrive at clear articulations of the incommensurable. Beyond the simple satisfaction of piling things up, there is an unexplored territory: the tectonics of madness, where things simultaneously beautiful and frightening might jump out of the foamy, boundless ocean of the not yet.

The ambition here is not to solve any predefined problem, nor to say anything in particular but rather to become articulate and able to converse with the world through technics.
These articulations will have something to do with economy and politics, with order and beauty, with individual stance and collective responsibility but will abstain from pedagogy and cheap moralising.

The studio is going to use various advanced model-making methods, both physical and digital and it is going to be accompanied by a seminar exploring potentialities of game engine for modelling, non-linear storytelling and presentation.
